My Little Pony Birthday Party

Well my baby girl is 6 years old! Where has the time gone?

When I asked her back in February what she wanted her theme to be this year, she said Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. So my planning started. I booked the entertainment (see what it was at the end of the post) and started looking on Pinterest for ideas. And here is the party!

Little Bit, MeMaw, Aunt Stacy and I all painted our nails for the party.

The cake table with rainbow candy in jars. The table is covered in fabric I had on hand to give it more color. The candy section are some boxes I found at Michael's then spray painted them different colors. The My Little Ponies were mine was I was little. :) The plaque was again found at Michael's which I spray painted and added some cardstock and vinyl to using my Silhouette Cameo.

The rainbow inspiration was found on Pinterest.

The banner above the gift table (I forgot to take a picture once we had it set up, oops).

Party favors were little ponies in a muslin sack with the Cutie Marks on them. I just used iron on transfer found at Wal-Mart to make the sacks.

My lovely hubs built 2 bean bag toss boards; the kids and adults loved them.

And the entertainment: What is a My Little Pony party without ponies! The kids loved them! Little Bit was so excited when she saw them! It was all worth it to see her smile. :) And of course we had matching Spike shirts on per the request of the cutest 6 years old around.

Quick St. Patrick's Day crafts

So I wasn't sure what to do for Little Bit's teachers for St. Patrick's Day. I do 6 gifts for her teacher, counselor, OT and 3 Teacher Assistants. But when I found the burlap canvases at Michael's I knew what I could do.

So what do you need?

Canvas (mine are burlap)
Freezer Paper
Spray paint (or regular paint but I am lazy and like spray paint, lol)
Silhouette Cameo (or scissors)
Iron
Ribbon
Glue
Stapler

First, pick your design. I chose a 4 leaf clover. Now I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut it out but you can use scissors. I chose to cut it out exactly 8"x10" so I could cover the whole canvas.

Once cut out, lay your stencil on your canvas and iron (shiny side down) onto your canvas. Try to make sure you have the edges down good.

Now to paint. I use a piece of wood to spray paint my items on. Lay your canvas down and paint.

Once done painting, remove the stencil. And look! Oh so pretty.

I added ribbon to the back of mine. I cut the ribbon 6" long, then stapled into place. I also went back and added a drop of glue to both sides of the ribbon to help them stay.

And you are done!

And it is that simple. I did these 2 also.

For her classmates, they are getting little plastic boxes with Skittles and Rolos in them. I just used twine and cardstock for the tags (cut using my Cameo).

Round up of sewing projects

These are some sewing projects I have done in the last few months, both personal and for business. :)

Some weighted blankets:

Feedback: "I just got Sam's blanket in the mail and all I can say is "WOW" I LOVE it sooooo much, its beautiful! Thank you. I pray it helps him. Thank you"

And some custom apparel

Feedback: "Love it! It's very cute! Thanks!"

And I just finished up this Berenstain Bears baby blanket for a friend; I included a matching baby bodysuit too. :)

I will try to blog better! :)

I am alive...I think. :) Round of Vinyl projects

So life has been crazy the last few months. With Little Bit's school, holidays, and then me getting sick, life has been out of sorts. I am still trying to figure out what is wrong with me but I will be ok. :)

I have been able to craft and sew during all the madness. And since I am not the best with words, let me show you pictures. :)

Here is a gift I did for my Mother for Christmas. She loved it!

I made up a cute bag, shirt and tumbler for my aunt (sorry forgot to take a pic of the shirt and tumbler).

Gifts for Little Bit's teacher who had her baby right before Thanksgiving

Christmas gift for my Mom and aunts; my grandma passed away last June and this is her signature I traced and put in a locket for them. I put them in the bags and gave them out at our Annual Girls Christmas Party.

100th Day of School for Little Bit (I also made my aunt one as she is teacher).

Valentine's Outfit for Little Bit, and her gifts to her classmates and teachers.

A couple other shirts I made for Little Bit:

And one last one that I made for a friend who happened to be the first nurse in the NICU to take care of Little Bit when she was admitted. :)

Be sure to be on the lookout for my sewing projects!
