Thomas the Train and Chuggington Birthday Party

Well here is the final results of the much planned 5th Birthday party for my daughter.

Picture overload ahead: Shirts were made by me with heat transfer vinyl and cut out with my Silhouette.

Old suitcase to hold the party favors (some are in a metal tin), banner was made using my Silhouette Portrait.

How cute is Little Bit in her shirt!

Yup, we rent a trackless train for everyone to ride. The kids and adults loved it. It was full the entire hour!

Her cake!

I used blind slats and vinyl to make the crossing sign (and yes I fussed at hubby for putting it on the pole)

Traintastic Family with our train shirts! (this was at the end of the party and I was tired! We had about 15 kids and 20 adults!)

Finally..a new item in the shop. :)

I have had this fabric for a month or so now and wanted to make this set but never got time. Well Little Bit got home today but was super tired so she went to sleep so I decided I felt like sewing. It felt good. I am still sore but doing better each day.

Look at this cute fabric! I love it!

Shop link if you would like to buy it. ;)

I am still here...

Life has been busy as I am preparing for a minor surgery tomorrow then Little Bit's 5th birthday!

Little Bit asked for Thomas and Wilson on her cake; Wilson is from Chuggington. And who knew Chuggington was so hard to find. Thomas is everywhere. So I decided to go with color scheme with a few projects here and there of Thomas and Wilson. I bought blue, red, yellow, green colored plates and napkins, along with some paper straws. I have a few projects done but have a few more to do.

Here are her invites: I based them off this invitation but didn't want to spend the money when I knew I could do it myself. But hers is probably 100 times prettier...lol.

And here is her banner I made last night. Each piece is glued on and I put red twine for the ribbon. For Thomas and Wilson, I used the Print & Cut feature on my Silhouette Portrait.

Ok, I decided not to clean but to play. Here is Little Bit's birthday shirt!

Hi!

So life...yeah. Lets see, over the past month I have had a total of 7 stitches. The first go around was to remove two moles that looked suspicious; I go yearly for a check up as my Mom and 2 aunts have had skin cancer and I have had some spots to come back atypical (pre-cancerous). Well both spots came back atypical but the one on my back was severely abnormal so I had to have more taken out to make sure they got all the cells, thus 5 more stitches. Two weeks with 5 stitches in the middle of your back is no fun and sleep is horrible. Anywho, they came out today. WhoooHooo! However, April 10th I am going to have a lapascopic (sp?) surgery. Yup more stitches. I had a hysterectomy last year and the last several months I have had some pains on my right side so at my annual checkup, I mentioned it. After an ultrasound, it turns out my right ovary has doubled in size so we are going in to see if it is endometrosis, scar tissue, or something else. So yay!...Not! So from April 10 - April 21, my shop will be closed to custom orders. I don't think hubby would let me lift weighted blankets to sew plus I will be preparing my daughter's 5th birthday! EEEK! Where have the years gone? Her party is to be April 20th and she wants Thomas and Wilson...Thomas the Train and Chuggington. We are renting a trackless train for her party; she has no idea!

Anywho, I have done a few custom order weighted blanket and even a custom order floor pillow. I have also been playing around with my Portrait, yup still loving it. So here is some creations I have made for me lately.

Shirt for my daughter. ASM is fabric, the sun is HTV (heat transfer vinyl)

Simple gift for grandparents

I went to Michael's to look around for some Easter gifts. I bought 2 small wooden blocks that I decided to spray paint and let my daughter put her handprint on. I cut out her name with vinyl using my Silhouette Portrait. Total cost probably $3 but I know my mom and mother in law will cherish them.
