I have no hair!!
Ok, I still have hair but this is the shortest it has been since I was a baby, seriously! I love my long hair, I think it is my security blanket so I have kept it long for a while. I did try to alittle above my shoulders once but still let it grow back out. But this time, I wanted something drastic. So I searched hair donations and came across Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Their min is 8 inches so that was much more doable than the 10 inches for Locks of Love or 12 inches for Wigs for Kids. So I finally manned (well womaned) up and went to the salon. I told her what I wanted to do, she measured, showed where it would be and a style that she thought would look good so I said "go for it!" YIKES! But amazingly, I like my new short hair. Since I had the sides angled already they got to stay a little long and she angled it against my really short hair in the back. So short, she used the clippers to shave my neck!! OMG!
Here are the before and after....sorry for the bad pics but I was using my phone camera. I haven't braved real pictures yet. lol

ME, ME, ME! Pick ME!
Ok, so we bought our house in November 2010. I was so excited for the bonus room upstairs, so much potential. What did I do with it? It is a guest room, office space, sewing area, and Kitty Hotel, all in one. None of the furniture matches. I did paint the walls a nice gray and had a grand idea of black and gray with splashes of color thrown about....the walls was all I got done. :(
So when I saw Mandi was doing another Epic Room Makeover, I knew I had to enter. I have such big dreams for the area but no idea where to start or how to do it.
Here is the "grand" tour:
Welcome to Casa da Mess!
Next up is our storage/Jamie's area. However, Jamie has a laptop that he would rather use sitting on the couch in the living room so his desk has become a storage/ironing board.
We do have a lovely window with a cat perch! ;)
Next up is my area. I love my roll top desk, though it is kinda big for the area. Jamie does not want me to get rid of it due to paying so much for it and I did want one for years before I finally got one. Notice the cute printer warmer, she is the best for the job.
Next up is my sewing area! This is tons better than what I had before (I used to cut on the floor). I do wish I had painted the table or something. And I do need more storage...need more fabric too. ;) I won't knock this area too much since Hubby did build it for me. The desk was free but he put it together along with the chair. ;)
And lastly is the Kitty Royal Thrones. Yes we have 4 cats so they need litter boxes and being upstairs is better than in a bedroom. However, it needs a disguise or something. I would love a giant sand box that scoops out the litter into a chute and into the garbage outside (can you do that Mandi? Or am I dreaming too big?, lol).
So please, PLEASE vote for me so I can get my dream guest room/office space/sewing area/Kitty Hotel.
I leave you with some cuteness in hopes you will vote for me and for sweet little Rescue who needs a new Hotel room. ;)

Here is a spare bed we bought so my Dad would have a place to sleep when he and Mom come visit. We love him but he snores, very loudly. Usually he slept on the couch so Mom could sleep but since he does snore so loud (we really do love you Dad), I bought a twin bed for upstairs so he could snore in peace. ;)

Fall pillow!
While shopping with my Mom, who is visiting for the week, I found a cute Thanksgiving bandana at Hobby Lobby. I thought it would make a cute pillow. So I bought 2 and 2 orange bandanas to match. However, they would be about 20"x20" pillows and that size forms are high. But the lucky shoppers we are found 2 20"x20" pillows on sale at Kohl's, normally $30, they were on sale for $5! So off to sew I went.
Here are the bandanas before:
And after!
And of course I could not pass up the Mickey and Minnie bandanas for my daughter. She loves her pillow. I used the 2nd $5 pillow I found for hers.

Wow, life can get busy...
Lets see...the last time I posted it was before my Mom's surprise birthday party where we drove 4 hours on Friday the 10th, stayed with my sister and then got everything ready for the party. When mom got to my sister's, we were hiding in the back room then came out and yelled surprised...we about gave her a heartattack. She was so happy to see us, oh whom I am kidding, she was so excited to see Little Bit! They had fun playing!
We drove back home on Sunday (another 4 hours!). Little Bit started Preschool on Monday! Eek! She had a good day and each day got a little better. She goes Monday thru Thursday from 9am to 2pm. I did some cleaning most days, I did sew a little on Tuesday. I had a custom order to go out and I finished up the quilt I started the first of July.
My Little Bit's first day! She had to have her Wilson blanket.
Tonight I tried my hand at car seat strap covers. Not too bad. They are not perfect since I used what I had on hand, but they are still cute.
My parents are coming up tomorrow for the weekend. Well actually mom will be staying the week as we had asked her to stay so we could have a babysitter for the 23rd! We have tickets for the preseason Titan's game vs the Cardinals! First of 5 games we have tickets for! So excited!
Until next time!

Where has the years gone?
My little 3lb 5oz preemie is starting preschool on Monday. She has come a long way in these short 4 years. I am so proud of her. She still has some struggles to overcome but she will get there. I didn't think starting preschool would bother me since she doesn't HAVE to go; she HAS to go to kindergarten. But it is starting to bother me. She will be at preschool Monday thru Thursday for 5 hours each day! What will I do with myself. I do have a plan to sewing 2 days and clean the other 2 days. I hope it stick with it. So be on the lookout for new items in the shop. Also be on the lookout for tears flowing Monday and probably several pictures of my growing little girl.
