So much has changed...

So we made the offer on the house in October, after some counter offers, we finally had a house in Smyrna! We closed on November 12th...we signed everything that morning but it was late that afternoon before the seller signed and sent in the money so we had to wait all day for the keys. Jamie and I painted what we could that night, Saturday and Sunday before heading back to West TN to get our kids. I drove with the cats, Jamie had the dogs and Mom and Stacy had Ashlee. The trip went fairly smoothly and all the kids seemed to adjust quickly to the new house. Sam was the only one we started to worry about but she came around. Christmas was nice in the new house; Mom, Dad, and Stacy came up for Christmas. Then come January we had an offer on our old house! Even though the contract was signed and they were pre-approved, it would be two months later that we find out they can't get a loan so the contract fell through. But during that time a guy had wanted to look at the house but couldn't due to being under contract. He still hadn't found a house so Carla called his agent and told her that it was available again. He made an offer!!! We closed on our old house on May 13th! It was such a relief!

Oh and Ashlee turned 3 in the mist of all the selling issues. She had a great birthday party! Mom, Dad, Stacy, Lisa, Taylor, Cayden, Rita, Lee came up, along with Jennifer and her kids and Samantha our neighbor. Since we had to wait for the house to sell to buy our gift, she didn't get much from us. But once the house sold, we ordered her swing set!!! She loved it!! Of course that had issues too. The guy was to install it on a Tuesday but instead came on Thursday and only worked 4 hours then only came 2 hours on the Friday. Needless to say, we finished it and got our money back on the install. She got it on June 11th and has been outside on it as much as the weather will allow. She is getting good at climbing the ladder and sliding down.

We are adjusting to everything up here great. I love it here! We like the neighborhood and take walks around the block most nights or we head to part of the Greenway and walk it. Lots to do here but we always seem to be busy to do it. lol. Jamie is to get a boat soon so we hope to start fishing. Ashlee has been practicing casting; she is pretty good. ;)

Life is busy with cleaning, playing and just normal life stuff. I think I am busier now that when I was working full time but I love being home with Ashlee. She did start a Mother's Day Out program in February; she is out for the summer. She starts back in August. It is just 2 days a week but she enjoys it and it gives me time to run errands or clean, or if I dare, relax.

Well time to head downstairs and start cleaning. My new job and it isn't too bad. lol
